Description
Taming Tantrums and Ending Explosions: Strategies to help parent, teach, and treat children with behavioral disorders
No kid wants to be “the bad kid.” While most children occasionally have temper tantrums or emotional outbursts, some children have significantly more difficulty with defiance, aggression, disruptive, impulsive, and explosive behavior. These behavioral issues have a profound effect on family and peer relationships as well as classroom and academic functioning. Before parents, teachers, and therapists can help children learn how to manage their emotions and behavior, they must first understand why the behavior is occurring. This 2-hour webinar reviews diagnoses and factors that often lead to behavioral issues and provides numerous evidence-based strategies to help children build skills needed to manage emotions, behaviors, and increase self-esteem.
