Get It Done! OT Documentation

Documentation is an essential responsibility of therapists in school systems. It can also be very time consuming and inconsistent among therapists, school districts, and states. This 2-hour course reviews strategies to save you time and ensure effective and accurate documentation. Strategies reviewed include screenings, evaluations, frequency recommendations, IEP and 504 documentation, goals, assistive technology, intervention plans, and progress and daily notes. Helpful forms are included to make your job easier!

Learning Outcomes

  1. List examples of forms and strategies for OT documentation.
  2. Identify the components listed in the Guidelines for Documentation of Occupational Therapy from AOTA.
  3. Define the five components of goal writing.
  4. State the difference between effective and ineffective information entered on an IEP or 504 plan.
