Vestibular Rehabilitation: Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment

The vestibular system (inner ear) is integral in maintaining balance and communicating with the brain about where our body is in space. In this 1-hour course, participants learn a general screening process, anatomy, common diagnoses, and treatment for common vestibular dysfunction. Take your understanding of the vestibular system to the next level and apply these skills to your practice immediately!

Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify CNS signs vs. peripheral vestibular signs of dysfunction with screening.
  2. Identify three useful tests for determining vestibular challenges.
  3. State the role of the vestibular system, as it relates to balance and movement during daily occupations.
  4. List two interventions for the treatment of vestibular dysfunction in pediatric clients.
