Foundations to Play-Based Therapies for Young Children with Special Needs
Play is the primary occupation of childhood. It is the avenue through which every area of development blossoms and helps the young child learn how to become interconnected and independent in the world. Yet many therapists must fiercely defend what they know to be true: Children learn best through play! This 2-hour course gives therapists current research on the necessity and efficacy of play-based therapies, tips on establishing optimal play settings, and specific strategies to help scaffold young children to the next level of development. Join us to receive strength-based, practical, and evidence-based practices to help children become curious, connected, and confident within their world.
