Q&A: Which Sensory Diets Course: 2- or 6-hour?

Question:

I completed the Sensory Diets 101 course not too long ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I’ve also been using the BrainWorks materials to help my clients both in and out of therapy.

I was just wondering how much new information is presented in your 6-hour sensory diets course. I looked through the content and objectives listed on the site and can see differences and similarities between the two but I’m hesitant to register out of fear of too much overlap with content. Since I have the foundations already, does your 6-hour course provide enough new information to justify my purchase? Is there another alternative that you would recommend instead?

Answer:

I’m so glad you found Sensory Diets 101 and BrainWorks to be beneficial! Sensory Diets 101 is actually an abbreviated version of my 6-hour course. The six-hour version just goes more in-depth and also provides more case studies. Note that if you purchase my 6-hour courses, you may also receive a free physical BrainWorks kit since you are already a BrainWorks Online member.

Alternatively, you may find the 6-hour Sensory AND Behavior course to be helpful. This one reviews the basics then provides insight into using a wholistic model including sensory, cognitive, and behavioral strategies to address difficult behaviors. This course also includes several case studies that most find to be very beneficial. I hope that helps!

Best Wishes,

Gwen
