Question:
I have been an OT for 18 years. Do you offer advanced-level courses for experienced OTs? I have enjoyed your seminars and products in the past, and I’m looking for something new and exciting! Most courses I attend are similar to others or focused on introductory-level therapists. I’m also interested in CEU credit. Thank you in advance.
Answer:
Thank you for your interest in our webinars. I know exactly what you mean about finding advanced-level courses because I have been an OT since 1995! I personally have found Lori Benson-Adams’ courses to be really helpful. She is an educational interventionist and speaks on those topics, such as executive functioning, that we as occupational therapists know a little bit about, but our practice would benefit by knowing more. Here are a few of her courses that I think would fit your need for advanced-level courses:
- An Executive Functioning View of Poor Impulse Control, Motivation, and Self-Regulation
- Assessment of Executive Functions in Children and Teens
- Dramatic Interventions: Using drama, improv, and puppetry to engage and support students with social-emotional challenges
In addition, I recently presented a course on interoception. This is now considered to be the eighth sensory system and my practice has benefited from my knowledge in this area.
I hope that helps! Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Best Wishes,
Gwen
